Manhole Covers of Japan: Couples Kimono
Digital Montage Photography
$30.00
Photographs edited, collaged and layered together creating a new photographic image using Photoshop. I use anywhere from 10 to 40 photographs per montage.
This series stems from the unique, decorative manhole cover designs each district within Japan boasts. After photographing the cover, I turn it into a black silhouette using Photoshop. I place colorful images behind the silhouette. They speak of a hidden world of beauty: when so much care and design is taken for something we walk over, perpetually gets dirty, it must be elevated, like a stained-glass window.
Perfectly designed to complement modern home decor, this piece adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any room.
Available in size 12 x 12 inches. Prints will have a thin white border enabling easy framing options. Printed on archival materials with ultra chrome pigment inks, so the colors do not fade over time. Printed on thick, matte Fine Art paper.
***Image is cropped to fit a standard 12 x 12 inch print. Proportions are not altered.***
