Part of my series: Postcards From A Beijing Winter
These are small detailed scenes from life in the Hutongs (traditional, lower income living) in Beijing, and other scenes and locations around Beijing. These are odd, little snapshots of daily life around the city. Much of life happens outside, despite the frigid cold temperatures. Notice the stark contrast between the sky and the deadened, winter grass. The winter yields more clear blue skies than the summer, and much less tourists upon the wall.
Size: 6 x 9 inches watercolor on cold-pressed paper
Size: 8 x 10 inches, framed in a brown wood frame, mounted with white mat, behind glass. Wired and ready to hang. Lightweight.
