The Four Seasons of Japan
Digital Montage Photography
$40.00
Inspired by Alphonse Mucha's Four Seasons, with a Japanese twist. The figures are photographs that have been silhouetted, using Photoshop to highlight the pattern in the kimono or Yukata. The background of the image has then been created using anywhere from 10 to 20 different photographs collaged, and layers and montaged together, also using Photoshop. The effect is that of a stained glass window.
First Place in Digital Creation, Arts & Crafts Photography Competition, Tokyo, Japan 2018
Second Place in Photography Exhibition with ADSO, Fort Walton Beach, FL in 2019
This is a process I have been using for years that I've developed to create the Digital Montages that I do. It's digital cutting, pasting, erasing away; sometimes duplicating and enlarging, or reducing and fading away. It's a timely process, and I adjust the image as I deem fit for my creative vision. None of it is done with AI, or automatic photo stitching.
Perfectly designed to complement modern home decor, this piece adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any room.
Available in size 12 x 18 inches. Prints will have a thin white border enabling easy framing options. Printed on archival materials with ultra chrome pigment inks, so the colors do not fade over time. Printed on thick, matte Fine Art paper.
***Image is cropped to fit a standard 12 x 18 inch print. Proportions are not altered.***
